Tagaytay Getaway!

It was Tuesday morning when we left for Tagaytay City. Since the terminal going to Tagaytay is located at the empty parking lot of Festival Supermall, we decided to have a quick brunch at Goldilocks Bakeshop. After filling in our empty stomachs, we dropped by at Watson’s to buy some toiletries and snacks. Just in time, the driver is waiting for two passengers to fill in the empty seats. When we were about to pay for the fare, I was flabbergasted to find out that fare from Alabang to Tagaytay is PHP 60 only.

… Since it is not a weekend, there was no traffic or any traffic build-up at South Super Highway. Thank God! We arrived at Olivarez at exactly 12:45 P.M. (45 minutes lang inabot, bilis noh?) Then we took a jeep going to Tagaytay Econo Inn. We opted for a cheaper room rate, PHP 2,200/night. The superior room has double-sized bed, cable TV, Aircon and bathroom. Of course, trip isn’t complete without exploring other places. We went straight to Picnic Grove for merienda and of course to see a fantastic view of Taal volcano.

After seeing the sights, we walked around the city and decided to have dinner at the famous Greek restaurant, Manos Greek Taverna. It was featured at Drew Arellano’s show in QTV 11, Balikbayan. Oh diba, soshal! :p I have ordered for Chicken Shawarma while baby had Lamb Shawarma. It’s not the Shawarama you usually eat at food stalls in Manila. It has a distinctive taste that you will surely crave for more. It was past 8 pm when we arrived at the Inn. We stayed at the viewer’s deck for an hour and enjoyed a cool fresh air while sipping a cup of hot chocolate.

… The next day, we had breakfast at the deck. (A continental breakfast that includes bread, butter, fruit jam, fruits and a choice of coffee or hot chocolate) Then right after a splendid breakfast, we packed up our things because check out time is at 12 noon.

  1. Hey….

Mukhang you had a blast kahit isang araw lang. Sometimes that’s all you need to unwind, rewind at wind-wind…haha. Ano kaya yung wind-wind…gawa gawa ko lang…

    Thanks for sharing your pics….
