Billboards fall along Edsa

Three billboards on the south and northbound lanes of EDSA fell when a small whirlwind flounced through the main road during a rainstorm Monday afternoon. It wounded five people and grumbling traffic. The wounded were rushed to East Avenue Medical Center. Every one endured from fissures and minor scratches. MMDA asked DPWH to review the billboards because some of them seem not to follow the guidelines. I agree, because I’ve seen the billboards myself and they appear to be very big. Most of them are not placed in proper areas. So I guess the authorities should take necessary action to avoid further damage.

Japanese actress went naked for animal rights advocacy

40 year old Japanese actress, Aya Sugimoto went naked for animal rights advocacy. She’s holding a small mark reading, “Fur? I’d rather go naked,” Aya Sugimoto posed in front of photographers and TV cameras in one of the first Japanese promotions by PETA or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. According to Sugimoto, she stopped wearing fur two years ago after she discovered how fur items are being created. PETA opted for Aya, as the primary Japanese model of the anti-fur movement. You know, we can still look chic and trendy without wearing fur. Go for fake ones or just opt for another clothing material that doesn’t use animal skin. Stop animal cruelty!

Good news to all automobile owners because Unioil will rollback its fuel items by as much as PHP 3.00 per liter starting at 2:00 P.M. tomorrow (September 20, 2008).

Hope and pray that other leading companies like Shell, Petron and Chevron will tag along. =)

Actually, this is my fourth Ipod. My very first ipod is a First gen Ipod Nano(same as above), 1GB Ipod Shuffle, 30 GB Ipod Video then back to first gen ipod nano..hehe

Odd pair of high heels!

I must admit that I would never make a step in a pair of high heels. But for some women, they still continue to wear high heels though they know high heels aren’t good for the feet plus the fact that they are so uncomfortable to wear.

Would you have the guts to wear this pair of high heels?

Common complaints from wearing high heels are:

- Swelling of the joint at the base of the big toe, nerve problems, ingrown toenails, bumps, fissures, soreness

- Calluses and heel pain.

If you don’t want to suffer from those ailments then change your heel habits. =) Look for something comfy and make sure to limit the time you wear them.

Called by Time Magazine as the “building of the century”.

Gaudí’s Batlló House Barcelona, Spain

L’Hemisferic Valencia, Spain

Finished in 2005 and was paid for by the regional government.

The Torre Galatea Figueras, Spain

Famous artist Salvador Dali purchased this house that once part of Figueras’ walls. He redesigned the structure and named it after his departed wife.
